Text-to-Win Competitions on a Shared Shortcode

X-on provides off-the-shelf Text-to-Win competition services. A one-off set-up fee includes the shared use of a memorable short code, plus all the benefits of professional set up, management and live online reporting. Ongoing maintenance is covered by a monthly fee.

SMS entries to your competition must be differentiated from those of other client's competitions, so all inbound text entries start with a predetermined keyword such as 'WORLDGAME' for a competition involving soccer, or anything pertinent to the competition theme or product being promoted.

The keyword and instructions for texting in an entry need to be included in promotional material along with clearly outlining the costs involved in entering the competition. Instructions need to comply with regulatory requirements.

The entrant's mobile phone bill is charged the entry fee using reverse SMS billing:

	The entrant sends the keyword to enter (charged at their usual operator rates)
	We send a text message costing your chosen price point and their mobile phone bill is charged
	The networks in turn pay X-on
	X-on pays your business based on a tiered scale (reflecting the number of SMS received per month)

Following the conclusion of the competition, entrants can be sent consolation offers to keep them involved in the product.

Text-to-Win Competitions on a Dedicated Shortcode

If you wish to run a number of promotions, X-on can also provide a dedicated shortcode operating on a range of tariffs. This will allow use of an unlimited number of keywords. A 12 month commitment is usually required.
